A good start
It is important that we recognize a few things:
1) When GOP people talk about doing things . . . or getting things done . . . this instantly creates suspicion that they are not conservatives. They may not even know it because they think they checked the litmus test boxes. But the utter core of conservatism is NOT government getting things done. It is government doing as little as possible.
2) Fund raising. When you hear (the Alabama lady) talking about money for campaigns, this means they already have a foot in the swamp. If you ever get a chance, have a look at what campaign chairmen, or campaign pollsters are paid. The reply to questioning fundraising focus is ALWAYS . . . that’s how you pay for advertising. That is how the Swamp deflects. Advertising doesn’t require the salaries of campaign staffers. You can get advertising paid for without 50 and 60 yr old party lions with decades of experience — which generally means they don’t know how to buy popup or banner ads online.
3. It is the UTTER MAXIMUM LEVEL of hypocrisy for right wing firebrands to talk about refusing to add more debt. This text above says WE WON’T DO THAT (and then in no doubt whispered asides — unless we have a plan to stop doing it). This says WE WILL LOUDLY REFUSE TO SPEND and then quietly send money to the DC K Street Swamp.
