SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) — After experiencing an atmospheric river that soaked Northern California New Year's weekend, Bay Area residents prepared for another, even stronger storm system set to arrive Wednesday that weather forecasters warn could have catastrophic impacts.

"To put it simply, this will likely be one of the most impactful systems on a widespread scale that this meteorologist has seen in a long while," the statement read. "The impacts will include widespread flooding, roads washing out, hillside collapsing, trees down (potentially full groves), widespread power outages, immediate disruption to commerce, and the worst of all, likely loss of human life. This is truly a brutal system that we are looking at and needs to be taken seriously."

It was a pretty bas storm on Saturday, we’ll see if this one is worse, but no need for hysteria.

Instead of, “Gee! aint it great all the rain and snow we’re getting? Guess all that climate change crap we’ve been hearing is BS!”
My perception is that normal weather conditions are being hyped and overplayed for political purposes to play to the “Climate” issue that is my perception of what is in play.
Well, just removed another 2” snowbull warming residue from last night(13” total so far). The Wed/Thur forecast says 4” on the low side and 9” on the high side. Guess i need to keep the snowjoe batteries charged up. ❄⛄😀
It’s been grey, cloudy and damp for the last couple of weeks around here (Bay Area). We may get one full day of warm and dry weather, then once again, it’s like London Fog, or as the author said ‘we are experiencing an atmospheric river!’.

This is common winter weather in this region, by the way.
We usually get a Wet Xmas Season. Go to Tahoe if you want snow.
