Are we in 2023? Or are we back in 2015? Because Joe Scarborough is back to touting Donald Trump as a juggernaut, as the heavyweight boxing champ of Republicans. This is the same pundit who couldn't stop calling Trump a "fascist" not too long ago.
On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough suggested that DeSantis and his appeal is akin to Jeb Bush in 2015: someone loved by the big-business donor class, but who can't stand up to Trump. Scarborough predicted that DeSantis will decide not to run in '24 and skip the Trump "meat grinder," and instead finish his gubernatorial term with sky-high approval ratings, then start preparing a run in 2026 when he doesn't have to worry about facing Trump.

Jeb! in 2016 was the GOP equivalent of Joe! in 2020: someone who was the favorite of the powers behind the throne, and scoffed at by the actual population. The difference is that the GOP powers went all deer-in-the-headlights when Bush flopped, while the Dem powers just took over the process and moved every other candidate out of the way—except for Bernie, who doesn’t mind his three houses but still gets upset by the way he was flipped for SloJo.

After the midterms, the left is convinced that Trump will lose elections for the GOP. They will do as they did in 2016, build up Trump and help him get the nomination.
I don’t want DeSantis to run for President in 2024. No Republican can beat the Democrat fraud machine which gets more refined with each stolen election with no effective opposition and meek acceptance by the GOP. We folks in Florida need him here to stave off the totalitarians in the Intel State as long as possible. We do not need him to gt massacred in a phoney election while he is still protecting Florida.
Why would Ron run in 2024? He’s better off in FLA for now. 2024 will be a mess with the country losing its mind over 45 running. Ron isn’t even 50 yet is he?
