it’s an especially good time to get right with the Lord, Jesus Christ.
“...Disasters on the Rise or Is It Just Our Imagination?...”
-
“Disasters” are neither on the rise nor in our imagination.
Truck Crashes, aircraft crashes, train crashes,
fires, floods, ships sinking, etc.
These things have always been happening,
but with the internet, people are aware of them.
When you use characteristics other than competence to hire and promote, you get people with characteristics other than competence in control.
IMHO, it’s widespread, systemic incompetence. Used to be confined to government, the media, and academia, but now it’s spreading into every bit of society. It’s only going to get worse.
"The Detroit Lions winning the Super Bowl!"
Things will get a LOT better when the systemically racist white men are pushed aside and the Woke people get all the jobs. Trust me on this.
Chit happens, always has and always will. Without statitistical trend analysis it’s just coincidence being fed by hype, online media, and too many people with nothing better to do.
It’s called confirmation bias.
People = Bad
Stop breathing, stop breeding, each bugs and weeds, walk, and freeze at home. Fear, just fear everything.
And put that mask back on to hide your ugly face.
/s with a bit of reality.
It’s the twenty four hour news cycle. They all get more coverage
I fully expect Sasquatch to hold a press conference any day now. /Sarc
There’s a thin veneer of hyper-competent professionals who keep the lights on and the water drinkable. Replace them with the incompetent in the name of equity and the water turns brown and the lights go out.
‘this was a problem that was supposed to be addressed by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill that was signed into law last fall. It turns out, that was more of a green slush fund than an “infrastructure” bill.’
— Captain Obvious
These disasters sure seemed to start about 18 years after the government schools started dumbing down the kids.
The bean counters only care about the next quarter, not the long run, not safety, not quality control.
They are technologically illiterate, so have no clue of the havoc they are causing.
Throw in some affirmative action hires on top of this, and what could possibly go wrong?
Exactly.
Also we just got hit by a class M solar storm. Rare but has happened before. Caused some network and power disruptions generally not covered in the lame stream media. At least it was not a class X. Last one of those was in 1859. Did a lot of damage to power and telegraph systems.
As you said, disasters have been happening for a very long time. Most people just don’t know history.
In addition, the more technology is being relied on for day to day tasks, the more the opportunity for something to go wrong.
