There are some of us who want to live away from EVERYONE! Now the land above has sold and a big house is going in overlooking my house and land.

But yes, most people want to live with people they can relate to and feel comfortable around. That is why so many old towns had a White section, a Black section, Chinese section, Hispanic section, Italian section....and so on.

Sad for South Africa. When the first Europeans landed there they found only a few Bushmen and Hottentots. No actual blacks as they were still far FAR to the Northeast.

Whites settled on the land and developed it. Then the blacks began moving Southwest into South Africa.

I live in a community where there are a lot of good blacks and I enjoy their company. I would not make a blanket statement like he made. On the other hand the ones near me are good people. I cant say that about a lot of the other neighborhoods where the crime rate and a lot of other things are just through the roof.

Worked with a black guy a number of years ago. He had a good job, his wife had a better one. They lived in a nice upper middle class mostly black neighborhood and sent their two daughters to private Catholic school. He was absolutely vilified by the other blacks in the office who lived in the hood. His answer was always, “My wife and I went to college and have worked hard to have a better life and we’re going to take every possible advantage of it.”

Why shouldn’t whites generally prefer living in predominately white neighborhoods. Apparently blacks do as well. No one wants to live in a predominately black neighborhood. Nobody.
