What percentage of middle class and above blacks elect to live in black neighborhoods? My guess: Less than 1%.
We had Bixby Knolls in Long Beach and Baldwin Hills in LA, both of which were upper class areas for blacks. It tends to happen when smart ppl get together.
I was cube mates with an AA IT analyst. Got a 4 year and post grad degree but insisted on living in the hood. Asked him why & said if he moved out, he would be considered uppity. He ended up getting shot in his leg at a party for talking to another guys girlfriend.
