I thought that for decades, “experts” told us that whales communicated by high-pitched sounds (or something such as that). Is the sound of the wind turbines confusing them and making them unable to communicate their location or pick up on the sounds that indicate to them they are too close to land, etc?
I know actually nothing about whales, but am just going on vague memories of what I’ve read in the past.

Whales are auditory creatures, and the wind farm developers use machine gun sonar to map the sea bottom. It totally disorients the whales and may cause internal neurological damage to their sensory systems.
