Musk is, unfortunately, probably wrong. An arrest will galvanize Trump’s base. And it will enrage some patriotic middle-of-the-roaders. Those folks will give Trump another look.
But leftists will still vote Democrat. And soccer moms will still shy away from Trump because of his mean tweets. And I’m not even considering voter fraud yet.
Sorry for the pessimism. As I see it, the only way out would be for the entire media to wake up and denounce the arrest, while at the same time highlighting Biden’s many real crimes. What’s the chance of that happening?
Agree. Trump needs the entire GOP on his flanks and marching against the Marxists to actually achieve anything. That won’t be happening, of course. So what we have here is little more than GOTV red meat for the MAGA base.

Biden Administration is manipulating the Republican primaries so we'll vote for Trump. Then Biden destroys Trump in the general election. DeSantis will be tough for Biden to beat. But Biden will be able to handle Trump pretty easily. Like you said, soccer moms think Trump is a mean SOB so he's unelectable.
