“ The National Transportation Safety Board said the pilots were responding to several warnings in the cockpit of the Bombardier jet that diverted to a Connecticut airport March 3. They followed a checklist and turned off a switch that “trims” or adjusts the stabilizer, a control panel on the plane’s tail.”

Likely not pilot error. They were following the checklist for the situation they were in. In fact it may have been pilot skill to recover from the situation they were in.

My son went to USAF pilot training. For stall recovery, they pounded 3 words into their heads. Max-relax-roll. He said every single time he flew the aircraft, they practiced it, along with other emergency procedures. 👍
