Useless article. It says “asked a judge.”
What judge? What court? Who appointed the judge? What is his or her record on key issues?
Once I had a neighbor who had a sort of middle aged handyman around to do chores and run errands. This handyman was known by everyone as "The Judge". Everyone assumed he was a former judge.
Well it turned out he was a former judge. One day I found out that he had once judged a beauty contest. LOL. But by then everyone knew him as "The Judge", ignorant of how he got his monicker.
U.S. District Judge Rudolph Contreras
per the Epoch Times cited in the posted article.
Nominated by Obama in 2011, confirmed in 2012.
US District Court for DC.
To be fair, most of the "judges" on the DC Peoples' Court got there because they're "politically reliable".
Which is why you don't want to go up in front of those Roland Freisler clones.
He's an Obama stooge, confirmed by voice vote in the Senate [usually, that's a BAD sign in these sort of confirmations. Means neither side has a problem with him.].

He's currently the presiding Stooge of the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court [FISA].
That's another bad sign.
