I’m willing to bet that it’s less about UFO’s and more about the embarrassment of shooting down some kid’s science experiment.
Here is the first true hi-res photo of a UFO ever publicly posted. I will probably be imprisoned;
Stealth photo!!
May want to think that one through... What about the shxt we sent to Mars? A good rifle shot could take just about any of them out. Not to mention the equipment sent to the moon.
If and a big if, these are just surveillance “things” then probably no defensive systems but probably evasive capabilities.
Our military hasn’t won a war in decades but we’re now shooting down extraterrestrials that have greater technology than we do?
Compressed gases. It was the size of a school bus - plenty of room.
Lol
I can’t help but think of this Gerry Anderson craft for fighting aliens.
Where's the alleged propeller and the fuel tanks necessary to propel it for the 8 days it was allegedly sailing over the US and beyond if it hadn't been shot down?
And how efficient would a propeller be and how large would it have to be considering the lack of atmosphere at 68,000 feet?
Pop quiz for you, what's the record altitude for a helicopter and for extra credit, why can't it fly higher?
Thanks, it is now........

It was in a movie about a true event on Everest and the trouble they had getting to a base camp to airlift hikers with severe injuries. Assumed it was due to the thin atmosphere. Nothing to create resistance and lift.
So you never heard of jet engines which do not use propellers? You never heard of maneuvering jets that use compressed gases and also do not need propellers? Just how old are you anyway?
That was actually a series! I had no clue...not sure how I missed it in my youth.
Indeed if it’s not real classify it nobody will know the difference.
That's correct. The higher the altitude, the less atmosphere.
Here's another factoid. The helicopter drone they are flying on Mars is only 4 lbs. but yet it requires rotary blades each 4 ft. long made of ultra light carbon fiber in order to get the thing off the ground.
The Mars atmosphere is only .08 PSI compared to the Earth's 1.45 PSI. The rough equivalent of approx. 80,000 feet altitude.......
That's why I am questioning the govt.'s claim that a 200 foot aerodynamically challenged balloon with a massive payload could possibly be propelled by any propeller driven device at that altitude, especially with no evidence of the necessary fuel tanks required to fuel it for the 8 days it was flying and the ensuing days had it not been shot down......
Thanks for hearing me out
Why yes, I have.
The blades spin at high speed and compress or squeeze the air. The compressed air is then sprayed with fuel and an electric spark lights the mixture.
So tell me smart guy, looking at the photo of the balloon, where are the jet engines located and more importantly, where are the fuel tanks large enough to fuel the engines for eight days and beyond?
How old am I? I'm old enough to know you have no idea what you're talking about......
But thanks for your input.....
What is the highest altitude a typical military jet can fly (and I'm not talking about the U2) and what is the maximum ceiling of a commercial jetliner?
Pop Quiz over 65K and classified.
Its 40 feet long and at least 10 feet high and 10 wide and every thing is covered. plenty of room for compressed gas storage for maneuver and for the balloon.
We don’t know whats inside, but we do know that compressed gas is a common way to maneuver at extreme altitudes where propellers do not work.
Stick your propeller theory somewhere else - I’m tired of going on about this and will not reply.
