Duh!
United Nations people, USA folks, and various committees on “Climate Control” have stated that the goal isn’t the climate, the goal is to make everyone’s economy “fair and equal”.
The idea is that the USA had a head start on most/all of these other countries and we got to pollute to get ahead, so now we have to be punished and provide money to the other countries, and the other countries are still allowed to pollute. Part of the way we give money to the other countries is to buy their cheaper stuff which is produced using cheaper energy.
An entirely different discussion why the USA was able to get a head start. (Hmm - sort of like the kid in class that works his butt off to get good grades, but can’t get into college because he isn’t the right color or gender).
