Post 10 :)
The only good bear is a dead bear. Kinda like commies.
So, Superman lets the bullets bounce off his chest then ducks the thrown pistol. Yeah, right.
What useless writing:
“…killed it without remorse or thought…”
The writer is ignorant of animal behavior in regards to the bear killing a dog when he uses human attributes in explaining the action.
Pathetic.
You don't know that. That bear might have been crying the whole time it ate that dog. Might even feel regret to this day.
I am of the opinion, that bears, not being human, generally do not have remorse or thought.
I'm hoping the SS took him out like a sacked quarterback.
Springfield Armory XDM Elite series in 10 mm. Very effective against bears. And magazine capacity of up to 16 rounds.
Apparently the thrower was sentenced to three years in prison but served only 9 months. Supposedly they were size 10 shoes....
Too bad he missed.
Yep.
” or thought…”
Worse yet the writer was wrong on this as well.
I’m pretty sure the bear was thinking “this squeaker will make a fine snack later...”
Ping
Didn’t think I needed a sarcasm tag on that one.
“ This close and aggressive approach by a large black bear is very concerning behaviour. The attack on the dog and subsequent caching of the carcass, indicates predatory behaviour.”
Uh, no it’s what a bear does….
Without remorse or thought can mean just what is written. Without remorse or thought.
I’ve been on that trail. Beautiful country.
“Sorry, this story is pure bullshit. You empty and entire can of bear spray in a bears face that bear will be incapacitated.
There is more to this story.”
Bear spray has an expiration date of about a year. When I moved to PA I bought a can of bear spray because there are bears in my woods and I wanted an alternative to killing one. I still carried a 44 when I was working or hiking in just in case. After several years of not having used the spray I noticed it had expired so I sprayed some nearby to test it’s effectiveness. It had little or no effect on me. Perhaps bear spray fails are due to people using expired cans. At 35-40 bucks a can the stuff is not cheap.
"Very concerning" if your world view is "bears are friendly furry forest creatures."
In reality, mature male bears (such as supposedly Yogi, in the cartoon) routinely kill and eat immature bears (such as Boo-boo in the cartoon.) Cartoons such as those and the Disney depiction of animals shape many minds not intimately familiar with reality outside of cities.
