Have you read The Return of the gods? I’ve started, what you’ve posted has a bit of the feel.
I should get that book, because it sounds interesting. I’ve never read it.
I’m just a guy that understands consequences and doesn’t fear talking about consequences, no matter how horrible they are.
One of the reasons I believe that we exist in a sinful world and experience terrible things is because one of the lessons that God wants to drive into our hearts is that our actions matter, even if the consequences from those actions are tiny or far in the future.

I just finished it last week. Wife is reading it right now as I type.
IMHO, I’d say Cahn (the author) has pretty much “hit the nail on the head” with it.
