Actually, Antifa was created in the 1920s/early 30s in Germany by those loyal to the new Soviet Revolution.
The extreme violence and constant bombings and assassinations by Antifa are a good part of why the Nazis had so much sympathetic support in the beginning.
The other part was just how amazingly depraved the Weimar Republic had become.
