Nothing happens in a vacuum. We know just how bad the present president is. But he may be more beatable and less dangerous than any replacement. What if he gets replaced by someone energetic, young, and with oodles of personality? (I don’t think for a moment The Giggler would be president for very long.) Right now, all we have to do is ride this out and probably (assuming a fair *cough* election) whoever the GOP runs has a good shot. Providing we don’t nominate an animated corpse like, say, Bob Dole.

True. If he remains in, one year from now he’ll be even more beatable. Let him hang on. It’ll take many years to recover from the damage, but folks need to see it to wake up.
