“The BBC apologizing to political activist-media host Nigel Farage for inaccurately reporting about his bank account being cancelled.”
Thanks for posting. I found this article interesting. Apparently the BBC published a report that Nigel was shutdown strictly for ‘business reasons’, meaning he did not meet required financial requirements.
Nigel then got his hands on the report by the bank that discussed his shutdown - seems that Nigel’s political views were a big factor, as in the MAIN factor (duhhh).
BBC then apologized and while the apology did come across as ‘heartfelt’, and while that was good (after all, how many times has the US media apologized to Trump over ‘Russiagate’?), Nigel should DEMAND that BBC also rat out its source, as that source made BBC and Nigel look bad and used its access to spread a lie.
At that point, I would consider the apology complete, along with a warning to other ‘sources’ to not try to spread false information.
