I think that VERY true. To my mind he is a criminal protected by the political class for his "service" to them, especially in toppling Trump for the idiocy and corruption of Biden (Obama's third term).

I can’t believe the hostility directed at this man just because he happens to be the expert that Trump selected to spearhead the pandemic response. I suppose directing hostility at him did accomplish one thing: it undermined Trump’s efforts to stop the pandemic and helped Biden win the election.
