Here in north Idaho, we have ceiling fan/light combos in every room. Most of the time, that’s all we need for cooling and air circulation. These mo fos won’t stop until we’re all living in mud huts. But mostly, they want us dead.

Notice, it says belt driven fans....that means Attic fans! Not ceiling fans.

I’m sure some fanatics want to see us dead but I think most “progressives” don’t want to kill the goose that lays the golden egg, i.e., the middle class taxpayers. More likely they want us quiescent and they do this by using regulations to turn us into unwitting or witting criminals. Start making a fuss and watch the government unleash its regulatory pitbulls on you. It’s exactly what they are doing to Trump.

I have both A/C and natural gas forced air heat. Three rooms have ceiling fans with light fixtures. Spring/Fall are mild requiring little A/C or heat. June/July drives inside house temperatures to 80F plus. I use the A/C to keep the household (including dogs/cats) comfortable. The leading edge of Fall and trailing edge of Spring are annoying. Overnight temps in the 30s/40s. Daytime temps 85+. It's hard to split the difference. It's heating season from early October to early May.
