Honestly, I think they didn’t want him going there because he would start “sundowning” mid afternoon. Dementia patients start to see reduced cognitive ability later in the day. His mind is fixed on EDT. Moving him to the west will really screw up his internal clock.
The simplest reason is usually the closest to the truth. His handlers don’t want him loosing his mind out in the open. He sounded like an idiot yesterday. They have to keep that to a minimum.
