Social security has several trillions of dollars in future unfunded liabilities. I understand the whole third rail of politics thing , and we’re not supposed to say anything about it. But the problem is real.
It is frustrating that we apparently are not allowed to talk about the problem , but the problem is there whether we talk about it or not

In seriousness, I suspect that this is the RNC Fail Safe in case the Democrats are unable to take out Trump as a candidate by throwing him in jail.
