I’m not saying he wasn’t weird. I always believed he had a sort of Peter Pan syndrome. I had a friend growing up a lot like him, he preferred the company of boys, like 12-14 year olds. It became more obvious as we got older and he was still playing video games all the time and hanging out with kids much younger than him. I never suspected he had sexual interest in boys... quite the opposite... he just didn’t want to grow up.
You mean his monumental “Diddler” album?
Wasn’t that Cheech and Chong?
I like Roy Orbison.
Unique voice and not a crotch grabbing, freaky perv.
Billie Jean, The ONLY good song by MJ. May he not rest, in hell, where I am positive he resides.
When I was in middle school, around 1969, the art teacher always played the Jackson 5 during class. I like him from that era. It is great music and reminds me of my favorite teacher from back then, the wonderful Miss D. A lot of his later stuff is not exactly to my tastes, but I like some of it, and set aside his wierdness to enjoy it.
I try not to know anything about celebrities. The reality of most of them is just creepy. As for Michael Jackson, I can’t separate the creepy from the music and I don’t want any reminders of the man/ child.
I liked his music...
But humanitarian? Lets not push it.
That’s a good one. The background harmonies are terrific.
Possibly. Transforming from a young black man to Donna Summer is also suspect. I have always wondered why he paid some of those families for silence. Trump paid Stormy Daniels because of his own indiscretion. Is it wrong to assume some level of guilt? People compare MJ to Kanye. I don’t know that MJ ever stood up to his handlers like Kanye, or confessed Christ like Kanye, etc.
heh... that’s from his official Twitter account. To be fair though, he was very generous in the way of charities. He supported 39 of them according to Google.
The DJ would play “Pretty Young Thing” at the first bar my friends and I went to at 18 years old, and the crowd would go nuts
What song was “Basketball Jones” a parody of?
That’s the easy part.
The hard part is who did the original?
He was a pathetic twisted sicko who preyed on children.
“Billie Jean, The ONLY good song by MJ.”
Agree. Brings back memories of good times. Plus it’s a great song (by a weird-o, but maybe not a pervert).
Most of his songs were fine. Not spectacular. He was more in his element in front of a video camera. Even though the music videos he did were choreographed, his movements (short of the crotch-grabbing) were far more natural than the paid extras, and it wasn’t close.
His cover of Sweet Caroline…”touching me, touching you …”
Because Chances are high: HE HIMSELF was sexually molested. THATS what happens!!!!!
Kanye? Eyeroll.
