The Speaker's best weapon is to use his authority to collect as much evidence as possible.

The Impeachment Inquiry IS that best weapon.

To go direct to Impeachment shuts down any hope of gathering more evidence.

The Speaker is not a Prosecutor or a Judge.

With out a willing DOJ or a Senate willing to convict, he can't do much more.

They’re slim, but I do have hopes that you’re right.

To launch an impeachment process now would be poor timing, what with the wall-to-wall coverage of Trump’s bogus indictments.

Clearly, the Democrats are scheduling a series of trials to coincide with next year’s election.

Perhaps McCarthy is strategically planning impeachment as a counterbalance (I’m skeptical, based on GOP behavioral patterns).

The problem of course, as always, is the media.

They’ll simply ignore Biden’s criminality while providing blanket coverage of Trump’s persecution.
