Nothing funny about it. There is a (successful) communist coup taking place in this country right now. These people might be authoritarian a-holes, but they are also deeply committed to destroying this country, a lot more committed than non-communists are to defending our freedoms (the freedoms that are left, at least).
The Weather Underground successfully took over the Democratic Party in the 1970s, once they gave up on bombing buildings.
Now their masks are about to come off.
