In Mississauga, Ontario, a public high school library removed every book that had been published in 2008 or earlier, under the justification of “inclusivity,” “anti-racism,” “equity” and “diversity.”
Gee, I always thought that the word “inclusivity” was about including things, not excluding things.
And I always thought the word “diversity” meant there should be more choices, not fewer.
And I’m not sure how getting rid of The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank contributes to the fight against racism.
You can read about it in this article:

If it means they do not have to read Things Fall Apart it is a small victory. Basically a guy grows yams, kills two kids and that is it.
Why am I not surprised Canadumb would try such a stunt like this?! They’re already practically socialist, so they might as well make themselves officially a socialist banana republic!
They will make an exception for The Koran.
I’ve heard that a library in the States is doing this as well.
They don’t anybody to have any other thought.
by coincidence, I’m sure, they also changed the meaning of fascism in 2009.
The Koran fits the Leftist narrative of anti-westernism and anti-Christianity.
If 2008 is considered the beginning of “inclusivity,” “anti-racism,” “equity” and “diversity,” shouldn’t the high school get rid of all staff who were alive before 2008?
My wife’s school in Tacoma, WA did this already.
Uh...sure...
My dear late mum was born in Mississauga in 1926. She took me back there in the 60s when it was still small, rural, and pure like most everything else at the time. The human bacteria has infected everything.
No skin off my nose. If they want Canadia kids to be dumb, I’ll go with it.
And they call conservatives the “book banners.”
Hum I wonder what made 2008 so boundary important?
I feared something similar to this when the Internet first came along - one medium becoming dominant in dispersing information is a recipe for disappearing past history, knowledge, everything; and perfect for promoting propaganda and outright lies.
Oh wow I wonder if that includes BO’s 1995 “biography.”
I assume the public libraries still have these books .
…
If they do, for how long?
