CHANDLER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — Police and fire crews are on the scene of a Chandler house, which is where an animal rescue is located that is accused of neglecting dogs. First responders were called out on Friday evening to a home near Pecos and Cooper roads.
When officers arrived, they could smell a foul order and requested a hazardous materials team. “We wanted to ensure there weren’t hazardous fumes occurring at the residence with first responders inside a very small home, so that’s why they were requested to ensure that everybody was safe inside the home,” said Chandler Police Sgt. Emma Huenneke.
Police say an “unconfirmed number” of dogs are being removed from the home. Huenneke said the police investigation into the rescue started on Sept. 8 when they were tipped off about the abuse allegations. Huenneke said officers had been out to the home but wouldn’t elaborate.

The smell was so bad I could detect it 100 feet from the back yard. I had to walk through the dog feces the woman threw over her back wall. We estimate there were over 40 dogs in a 950 square foot home with a small back yard.
rescuers and hoarders are different breeds of people
Animal abuse may be the least of her worries. She may face charges of elderly neglect, tax fraud, identity and postal theft.
How horrible for those poor dogs.
