Lol, most still have gallon/half gallon, ounces, and liters on the label. But I noticed what the OP noticed, it is starting to drop a few ounces at a time with certain brands. They must have started dropping the labeling for gallon and half gallon so that they could cheat. Won’t be long and the terms and concept of gallon and half gallon will be forgotten because they are not on the labels anymore. This is what they did with bacon, they took the word “pound” off the package and started making it 12 ounces.
