I’ve seen 12 ounce “pounds” of bacon.

Yep that is what I am referring to. And 12 ounce “pounds” of hotdogs.

We are old enough to remember when certain products were sold as a pound of bacon, a pound of hotdogs, a pound of cheese, Etc. All the packages were a true pound. The new pound is 12 ounces. Meats and cheeses is where it started.

Yep, won’t be long and the new dozen will be 10.
