Pro-Palestinian Harvard Students' First Lesson in Job Hunting - CEOs Not Interested in Hamas Supporters
Red State ^ | 10/12/2023 | Becky Noble

One thing that is always noticeable about the actions of the left is that they never seem to comprehend the big picture. It's like they are virtually incapable of looking beyond next week at the most. However, if you are a college student, one might think that planning for the future is something that you do regularly, especially at a premier university like Harvard. You attend that school because you are in the academic elite. But apparently, many of the current crop of Harvard students have yet to figure out that the internet is forever, and what you post there follows you.

I have been asked by a number of CEOs if @harvard would release a list of the members of each of the Harvard organizations that have issued the letter assigning sole responsibility for Hamas’ heinous acts to Israel, so as to insure that none of us inadvertently hire any of their… https://t.co/7kzGOAGwp9— Bill Ackman (@BillAckman) October 10, 2023

Since the horrific attack on Israel by Hamas, not only has the world witnessed the atrocities committed by this group, but we have also witnessed outright celebrations of the murders of innocent people by those who support Hamas. Sadly, but perhaps not surprisingly, many of these demonstrations can be seen on America's college campuses, which have become little more than indoctrination centers for young people.

But for those who support the murder of innocents, their extracurricular activities may come back to haunt them after graduation when they start looking for a job. Bill Ackman is a billionaire hedge fund manager and a Harvard alumnus. He tweeted on Tuesday that he had been contacted by "a number of CEOs" wanting to know if Harvard would disclose the names of students who belong to the campus organizations that recently signed onto a letter that stated that these student groups held "the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence." The reason behind wanting the students' names made public? So these CEOs can be sure they never hire any students involved in these organizations.

Among the corporate heads who want to make sure they never employ those who signed the letter as part of a student group is CEO of Sweetgreen Jonathan Neman, who stated bluntly in response to Ackman's tweet, "I would like to know so I know never to hire these people." Jake Wurzak, CEO of DoveHill Capital Management, was also short and to the point, saying, "I second this." FabFitFun CEO Michael Broukhim was also brief and stated, "We are in as well."

Just those three CEOs alone appeared to be enough to scare the Harvard snowflakes into fearing for their future employment opportunities. Five of the student groups who signed the letter abruptly retracted their support stated in the letter. The Harvard Undergraduate Nepali Student Association apologized if their support in the letter had been "interpreted as a tacit support for the recent violent attacks in Israel." Well, when the name of your organization appears on a letter that specifically blames Israel for the attacks, yeah, that might be construed as a bit of "tacit support."

Harvard President Claudine Gray also swooped in to provide a bit of cover to the students, as well as a bit of CYA for the University, and stated that she condemned "the terrorist atrocities perpetrated by Hamas" and "while our students have the right to speak for themselves, no student group" speaks for the college or its leadership." As if the students at Harvard needed a reason to look even more irresponsible and uneducated about the conflict, Danielle Mikaelian was a board member of one of the groups who signed the letter. She stepped down from that position on Tuesday, calling her group's signing of the letter "egregious." But the best part, Mikaelian, a Harvard Law student, stated that, because of a lack of any "formal process" for approval, she did not read the letter before her group signed on to it. Probably not too many law firms looking to hire lawyers who don't read documents before signing them.

Ivy League universities like Harvard are not the only ones getting on the anti-Israel bandwagon. Colleges and Universities all over the nation are scheduling demonstrations and protests that are in support of Palestinians. Universities from California to North Carolina have held or are planning pro-Palestinian protests. But on the bright side, students all over the country will also get these valuable lessons in job hunting.

The law students at Harvard are beginning to really sweat the fact that they might get fired from their first-year associate jobs helping Dow Chemical cover up pesticide spills in small town reservoirs, simply because they supported a terrorist organization in law school

These heads of mush are truly disgusting. First, they tell all how they feel, emotionally and intellectually.

Second, realizing their statements will impact their careers, they “revise & extend” their remarks - walk them back.

Third, they expect everyone to swallow their obviously deceitful retractions.

The problem is lawyers and politicians. Plenty of jobs for them there.

It’s when they get those jobs we get screwed.

Remember the lawsuits against Trump’s “Muslim Ban”?

These people are high on the idea that there are two sides to this story when there’s not even one and a half, and it’s obvious to the rest of the world that they don’t realize how stupid they look calling for a cease-fire and/or to “Free Palestine”. It must be extremely frustrating to always have such unrealistic expectations and who the f*ck cares if they ever get the help they so desperately need...Actually, I think it’s a case of having mass delusions of grandeur. “Cancel” them before they progress into their world-renowned psychoses. Avoid and shun them like never before and make them understand their true place in an otherwise polite society.

How would every feel, if CEOs asked for the names of conservative student group names because Orange Man Bad?

I’m searching for the legalities of expectations of privacy in private organizations. For example, assume you join the local sportsman’s club…do you expect that your name and email address etc won’t be divulged?

Of course these students are mush heads. The parents bear some responsibility. And yes joint the local gun club that may issue a FB post promoting concealed carry, but that’s a far cry from victim-blaming Israeli citizens.

It’s still not a thought crime to have an opinion. We are either for privacy or against it.

Sure sounds as if they regret the loss of Nepali, but not Israeli, life.

That’s why I’m very selective on what groups and organizations I join. To make the backlash of a public statement they made a privacy issue is ludicrous.

Maybe they have asked for the names of students associated with conservative groups.

I draw a distinction.

There is Johnny, who plasters his ugly mug all over social media and tags every pro-Hamas comment with his student group. He has ZERO expectation of privacy.

Then there is Mary, who doesn’t have many friends or social media and comes to their meetings to hang and maybe escape depression. She isn’t pro-Hamas and youths do stupid things.

I visited the website of one of these student organizations - membership (even leadership) isn’t named.

So, how were these personal details obtained?

"Third, they expect everyone to swallow their obviously deceitful retractions."

I am not a wealthy woman but I would give every nickel I have to be present when these worthless dregs are interviewed by potential employers who inform them that their application for employment will not be accepted. Further, the position will be given to a graduate whose last name is Goldberg.

My suggestion.....take pics of students attending these pro Hamas rallies.

Use facial recognition to identify them. Put their names and faces in a DO NOT HIRE database.

Who would these CEOs rather hire, Hamas or MAGA supporters?

Directive to HR: Don’t hire anyone dressed in a hijab. Pretty simple.

ps

Arab women are more vicious that their male terrorist relations.

>So, how were these personal details obtained?<

The university knows the personal details of every club member involved. It either divulges the info or the entire university gets put on the blackball list. It’s probably cleaner, legally, to do a blanket ban anyway.

They started the cancel culture. Our side gets to play that game too. When they stop, we stop.

That may be the big smoking gun in all of this.

IF the doxxing came from seedy means, eg hacking into databases, etc, then the dozers look Bad.

BUT….if Harvard gave away names, email addresses etc of club members because that is Their Policy, then BOOM.

If I were in a position to hire anyone for anything, I’d automatically reject anyone from the Ivy League, period.

“you join the local sportsman’s club…do you expect that your name and email address etc won’t be divulged?”

Yes, because it’s not an unrealistic expectation to have of the “sportsman’s” clubs around here.
