What about the kid being raped? What is their choice? Have you convinced yourself a toddler deserves to be raped because an all seeing god would rather watch than intervene? If that’s the case, you’ve invented a depraved deity, and you worship it? Sick.

I see He has a long, long way to go to convince you. But He has accomplished that many a time, and with the most skeptical people. That is what He does.

As for your heartfelt anguish over man’s inhumanity to man, that is the inevitable cost of letting people exercise their free will. It is horrifying. And every human experiences its pain.

Perhaps you have had more than your share. Indeed, perhaps you were raped as a child.

The issue is, do you want to experience those horrors here, for several decades, temporarily, or in hell, forever? He has done a loving thing for you, by giving you a taste of what it will be like to be forever without His protection. Your choice.

By the way, God has felt the full force personally of torture. He came in person and got Himself scourged and nailed to a cross for you. He knows.

No one has ever been converted to faith in Him who wasn’t being prayed for. I don’t know your circumstances, but I do know mine: I’ve prayed for Him to send me someone new to pray for, and today He sent me you, Gunslingr. Every day I will be praying for Him to break through to you and give you saving faith, even as He did for me.
