The current nation of Israel is hardly what one would expect of a repentant people who are operating their nation and conducting their affairs on the basis of a restored faith in God through the true Messiah, Jesus Christ. This is not godliness vs. Ungodliness, with few exceptions. Although it takes different forms, there is a separation from the our Creator on both sides of the dividing barricades. That’s one reason I pray that this present crisis will drive both Israeli Jews and Palestinian Muslims to turn from every false hope and way and find Jesus to be their Lord and Savior, their true Shepherd and Hiding Place. The gospel, not endless cycles of vengeance, is the one true solution, the only way these opposing sides can be reconciled into one.
