I bought my first house in California in 1985 for $20,000

Who cares?

That was a whole lot of currency devaluation ago.

What does that house sell for today?

What was your annual take home pay in 1985? What is you annual take home pay today?

The car dealer isn't ripping you off. Neither is the realtor.

Big Government is ripping you off.

You have a point.

Probably the most important one.

Kudos. Big government is the BIG issue.

Check out the Fed history, and note that the WWII event was short lived. Now with the national debt rocketing upwards, big government with big debt is an explosive issue.

Businesses are trying to survive while been bigly conned into much by big government.

Big Government is ripping most of us off.

When I bought my house in 1978 I was making about 800 a month. I could have assumed the loan on the house next door for 450 a month and i thought “What the hell am i going to do with another house and where would i get an extra 450 a month”?

Our money is worthless. At the same time government mandates are adding 30% to the cost of a car. Double screw job.

In 1972 I was making $90 a week take home. But.....
health insurance was $9 biweekly
Bush long necks were $4 a case
Cigs were 35ยข a pack
A 10 pack of Copenhagen chew was $3.50
My half of a 2 bedroom apt was $75 month
$3-4 filled up my Datsun on Friday.

Other than more hi tech toys, I had just about as much as I do now.

Fiat currency is a government ponzi scheme and outright theft.

My late uncle said that he would take 1950 wages with 1950 prices anytime.
