The GOP is not supposed have any real political power. Well, they had a little. But now they have less.
Blackmail. Probably his internet viewing or other affair.
The RINOs are bailing in expectation of Trump’s return to the White House to hopefully avoid his perceiver retaliation of his enemies.
Because OF COURSE he did.
I'll bet this "team player" also voted to remove New York representative George Santos.
Yep, I remember when the Republicans during Trump’s first term resigned or deliberately lost during the midterms in order to keep him from making America great again.
“Check his bank accounts.”
No kidding. Especially the Swiss ones.
Wrong. He announced this months ago. He has been MY rep, and he has performed admirably, unlike his sleazoid lawyer Democrat predecessor. Very sorry to lose him.
I think it's early enough that deWhine can appoint a replacement.
HE”S AN ASS!
The GOPe snakes losing on purpose.
my Congressman (a Democrat) just announced his retirement. He was #1 (!!) in earnings from stocks last year.
It seems he knew he was leaving, so made bank before he departed. I don't see Bill Johnson on this list.
I hope four more resign in September or October so the rats are blamed for things going bad but not actually giving them time to wreak havoc. That should make it more likely the pubs will get more seats.
Replacements in the House are never appointed. Special elections only.
If the Republicans actually won and had a sizeable majority they would actually have to govern. Easier to let the Marxists rule and continue to collect their salaries and their share of the plunder.
How much time would it take to pass amnesty for 40 million illegals?
THis is what the democraps want. DO NOT give it to them. However they are the stupid party.
This is correct. He just hadn't set a specific date for his resignation except "sometime before March".
And no, he did not vote to expel Santos:
11/1/2023 roll call vote to expel George Santos
Bill Johnson actually voted more conservative this year than in any year since his first term in Congress:
House voting record for Bill Johnson (2011-2023)
He's never exactly been another Jim Jordan in the House, but those who try to summarize his career (or that of any other representative) by using the overrated and ludicrously small sample-size "Liberty Score" are getting a misleading picture much of the time.
Is someone paying these guys to bail out?
Or do they see the handwriting on the wall?
.
They ousted Santos - a Republican - plan coming into view.
