Exactly. Who asked for this keyless technology? I didn't.
I often have to drive rentals and I can't stand those fobs that don't use an ignition, where I just leave it in the cupholder and push the start button.
I try not to be an old Luddite fuddy-duddy yelling at clouds but, really, I hate this new tech.
Goox
My standard is that you don’t want it for your house, it probably doesn’t make any sense for the car.
In my view that covers, keyless entry, electric windows, wall-to-wall carpeting, and windows you can’t see out of.
That car is exactly the same as the one my high-school girlfriend drove, except that the top was beige too. Ah, memories. They don’t make back seats like that any more.
Lots of room in the Fleetwood.
When old becomes new again who knew.
It surprises me how many Indian Scout owners are spending the money to convert their bikes to keyless/key FOB. Not me.
A friend who owns an Indian bagger had starting issues for months and his bike in the shop repeatedly and the final result? Some eff up with the antenna communicating with the key fob.
I like my simple, indestructible key. How darn difficult is to insert a key in a slot???
So, perhaps like me, you live in FL, the happy hunting ground of a cannibalistic tribe known as trial attorneys.
No, AZ. Not quite as bad, but they’re working on it.

Faraday Bag for Key Fob (2 Pack). Works for credit cards too
You’re welcome
I bought a 2018 car with low.mieage last year. And it starts and locks with a key. I want my vehicles, appliances and home as dumb as a stone.
The financing companies asked for keyless technology. It makes it a lot easier to repossess the car. It allows them to disconnect the ignition remotely so the buyer or lessee can't start the car and then reactivate it when the re-possessor shows up.
My vehicles are protected by Third Petal Security.
You can leave the car unlocked with the keys in the ignition
“As I understand it, even then you had to get the vehicle moving quite fast.”
Not really. I’ve done it multiple times with cars doing maybe 3 mph.
Just start shooting these people.
Cars with automatic transmissions? That was what the other poster and I were discussing.
One of my favorites, discovered him during the time I was laid off due to covid. I can open tons of locks now, and with the Lishi tools nothing is safe.
“I bought a 2018 car with low mileage last year.”
Are you interested in selling?
I know someone that may be interested in purchasing LOL
