Academia has not searched for truth and knowledge for scores of years.
When one of there own does stumble upon it, they destroy the individual.
Read about Archeology, they were doing that to anyone who challenged evolution and discovered anything that supports the Bible since the 60s
How did he abandon his rightful crown of delusional victimhood and gravitate towards the truth? What went wrong?

He’s an economics professor. He crunched the data. He had it checked and re-checked with fresh eyes. Math & Science people are not yet thoroughly infected with political ideology. They mostly just do the work and publish the results.
But as he said in the article, his colleagues warned him “don’t publish this, you’ll ruin your career” so clearly there is pressure on science, tech, engineering and math to direct their research towards either confirming political narratives, or simply ignoring anything contradictory. Of course being tenured he won’t lose his job over it but he may not get a lot of speaking engagements or other government grants.

Perhaps he should check on the source of all this political violence .... that might surprise him a little too.
He ‘expected’ to see what the media and poiticians told him he would see. So he checked it, and found out the media and politicians lie. What a shock.

Well, to be fair, if all I had to go by was Youtube videos, I would assume that about 98.9% of all violent crime is caused by blacks. So there is that.
Try to find a video showing gangs of whites looting a business.
