Oakland, California, is threatening to punish this victim of crime, instead of punishing the serial criminals who keep targeting him again and again and again:

Sounds like Elder Abuse, where is the US Attorney??
Somebody might want the old man out. His property probably has some value.
Anarcho-tyranny. I wouldn’t be surprised if they gave out free graffiti supplies, while planning to seize people’s property for not cleaning graffiti up quickly enough.
It’s the government. They’re here to help.
“I’ll be 103 in two months or so. That slowed it up a little bit, you know [from painting over the graffiti himself]” said Silva Sr.
Mr. Silva sounds like a cool guy! It sure would be nice if his neighbors helped him out.
Targeted by the city which does nothing about crime and puts you on hold when you call 911.
Prosecuting an elder, Trump.
Imagine that a crime ridden crap hole like Oakland going after a 102 year old for paint on his fence while droves of busnesses leave due to rampant violent crime. Idiots.
the graff artists are likely getting paid by the city and/or
property developers
The man is 102 and wheel chair bound.
Give the man a break!
It’s not as if he goes out there and spray paints it himself.
Shouldn’t painting the fence be a job for those who have to do community service? troubled youth and all?
My suspicion as well. Some developer with connections to the politicians who run the city wants that property.
Paint a disgusting mural of that drug addled thug Saint Floyd of Fentanyl. The the “artists” will be arrested for hate crimes.

I agree. Not unbelievable.
There are people out there in plain sight, who can’t be touched by the law evidently, on how to do the ‘squatters steal’.
At 103 years old next month, this guy sounds much sharper than Brandon. Maybe they could hire him as a spokesman. Just a thought.
Before I escaped Denver, I had an auto repair shop Downtown. The area was ugly so I painted up the building and planted a bunch of flowers out in front. I got a notice from the city to remove them because they could distract motorists and pedestrians could trip on them. I dared them to try to fine me. They backed off.
