The Gaza 'aid pier': a US geopolitical ploy?
The Cradle ^ | 5/10/24 | Suat Delgen

Posted on 05/13/2024 4:34:01 AM PDT by hardspunned

While presented to the world as a humanitarian effort, the US-led 'Maritime Corridor' in Gaza is a strategic maneuver aimed at consolidating US and Israeli control over land and sea.

Rather than flaming my faux pas of posting a non Biden Administration approved source, show me any untruths in the article. Since the doubled in cost pier has been worthless in its “humanitarian” role, I’d say this might be the purpose the pier is actually successfully accomplishing.

To impeach the source, which goes to great lengths to hide itself:

I am grateful that The Cradle frequently quotes from the most reliable Israeli source Haaretz despite them having a certain far left bias

Hi. I’ve just encountered your site for the first time. You have some interesting articles BUT: I notice that you do not indicate who exactly is funding you and how. Your writers are also largely unidentified. That being the case, it leaves me unable to assess your political position because, let’s face it, no-one is ‘objective’! So please - be open about where the money comes from. Thank you.

Moran AvniDEC 17, 2023, 08:02 AM

Unfortunately, you do not care about human rights violations and deaths reported within Arab states, but only about the clashes with the West. It is evident you serve Arab imperialism through immogration.

GregDEC 9, 2023, 05:04 AM

Why is this website so amateurish? Many of the articles sound like they were written in a foreign language and translated with Google Translate. I can get the exact same news from PressTV, communicated more clearly and in fewer paragraphs.

******

Further, a quick scan of their headlines reads like “The allahu akhbar chorus” postings of about three FReepers (who know who they are).

So, take this publication with a mountain of salt.

The Cradle Rated Lean Left in January 2024 Independent Review

An independent AllSides reviewer opted to give The Cradle an initial rating of Lean Left.

While it demonstrated a clear opposition to Israel and the West, The Cradle did not appear to weigh in on other topics relevant to right-left U.S. politics. Site searches for “liberal,” “conservative,” “right-wing,” and “left-wing” yielded few results.

However, The Cradle frequently cast “far-right” Israeli politicians in a negative light. While the reviewer noted that this was likely due more to the region’s specific politics than any alignment with U.S. partisan polarization, The Cradle’s clear anti-Israel stance made it difficult to justify a Center rating.

The reviewer noted a general trend of coverage sympathetic to Arab Muslims and suspicious of Israel and the West. This could be seen in The Cradle’s extensive coverage of the Israel-Hamas conflict, which often highlighted faults by Israel. Notable headlines included “Israeli police unable to verify ‘Hamas rape’ stories,” “Israel defender Alan Dershowitz named in Epstein court docs,” “Michael Hudson: A roadmap to escape the west’s stranglehold,” and “’Unprecedented’ surge in West Bank settlement activities.” The Cradle also published interviews with representatives of militant groups like Palestinian Islamic Jihad and Middle Eastern politicians like Iraqi ex-PM Adil Abdul-Mahdi.

To “The Cradle”, Israel literally does not exist:

“The West Asia region comprises 12 member countries: Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, State of Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syrian Arab Republic, United Arab Emirates and Yemen.”

ham ass hagiography at TheCradle.co:

The daring Hamas-led military operation, codenamed Al-Aqsa Flood, unfolded with a dramatic dawn raid at approximately 6:30 AM (Palestine time) on 7 October. This was accompanied by a cacophony of sirens breaking the silence of occupied Jerusalem, signaling the start of what became an extraordinary event in the occupation state’s 75-year history.

As per the spokesperson of Hamas’ armed wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, around 1,500 Palestinian fighters crossed the formidable Gaza-Israel separation barrier.

However, this breakout was not limited to Hamas forces alone; numerous armed fighters belonging to other factions such as Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) later breached the armistice line, along with some Palestinians unaffiliated with any organized militia.”

The first referenced “journalist” of TheCradle.co is Pepe Escobar, whose wikkpedia entry includes the following:

“Escobar’s work has been scrutinized for its appearance in outlets identified by the U.S. State Department as part of Russia’s disinformation network, such as RT and Sputnik News, raising questions about the potential propagation of Russian propaganda.”

I find this line untruthful:

“aligning with Israeli and US interests in stealing Palestinians’ energy resources.”

The USA is an net energy producer.

I don’t care for this conflicted oil or gas from a hostile land.
We don’t need their dirty oil and gas.

Drill Baby Drill.

Now does BP,Exxon,ConocoPhillips want to steal cheap oil.
YES they do.
That has nothing to do with the USA or Israel.

More on Escobar and the outlets through which he is published:

“Pipelineistan” is a term coined by Escobar to describe “the vast network of oil and gas pipelines that crisscross the potential imperial battlefields of the planet,” particularly in Central Asia.[16][17] Articles by Escobar about his “Pipelineistan” theory, many first published in TomDispatch, were re-published in Al Jazeera,[18] Grist,[19] Mother Jones,[20] and The Nation.[21][22]”

The second listed “journalist” of the cradle has garnered this attention:

“AN EXTREMIST NAMED SHARMINE NARWANI FINDS A HOME AT ‘COMMENT IS FREE’

by Guest/Cross Post

Cross posted by Zach at Huffington Post Monitor

It isn’t an easy title to win, but Sharmine “Dignity Rockets” Narwani is probably the most loathsome of all the Huffington Post bloggers, past or present. We’ve documented in the past her hatred for America, Israel (of course), and Huffington Post bloggers who dare to say stuff that she doesn’t like. She’s a liar, an anti-Semite, and a propagandist, not to mention a proud terrorism supporter. If all that doesn’t convince you, check out this page of quotes here.

Of course it goes without saying that being an insulting, lying, anti-Semitic, America hating supporter of terrorism isn’t enough to get one removed from the Huffington Post. That’s exactly the kind of thing that they like to see. The problem is that Narwani went a bridge too far and started defending the regime in Syria while it was bombing its own people. This caused her to be removed from the Huffington Post and sent to Al-Akhbar and Veteran’s Today, where presumably the readership would mirror her views to a larger degree.”

As expected, TheCradle appears to be a far left pro-terror outlet, as documented above. You may need to take it with more than a mountain of salt.

Israel’s brutal military assault on Gaza, which has killed over 35,000 civilians, predominantly women and children, has been executed alongside the denial of humanitarian aid since the war’s onset last October

Right out of the gate, I think the opening sentence is inflated BS, intended to set the tone for what is t follow.

Hamas is the one that set this action into motion, and their assault was not only brutal & inhumane, it was outright criminal.

As for the pier construction, it is BS as well, and should not be built. . I didn't read their reasoning for calling it a geopolitical ploy, but even that misses the real target, because it is a reelection ploy to try & save the Muslim vote in this country.

Biden never got 81 million votes, if he had he would be coasting to victory, but he didn't and the cover voters needed to successfully steal the 2024 election are voicing major dissatisfaction on numerous fronts as they struggle to keep their heads above water and are promising to vote for Trump this time around.

On its surface it is a stupid article. On further examination, it is likely a Islamic based political article. In the first place, Israel is fighting for their survival on ISRAELI LAND. They are not interested in hegemony in anyway, just in control of THEIR Land, without the fear of being genocided off of it. Now it is true that they have used American weapons and relied on US Support through the years, but that will change and very soon. They are being isolated from the US and the UN (World), and that is they way that it will have to be. Idiotic articles like this one will be a great help to get them to rely on their own, because the whole world is against them. As the Hebrew Bible predicted, Israel will become a troublesome stone (some interpret immovable stone). I suspect that the Amaleks of Gaza will soon destroy that nice new dock and the US will do nothing about it.

Trump should give Israel the go ahead to destroy it like they did Saddam nuclear plant on ‘80. Do it in November win or lose. Israel doesn’t need permission unless they get something out of it.
