****What is it about cats and paper? ****

Every so often, we put a small piece of paper on the floor and just sit back to see how long it will take one of our two cats to come along and sit on it. It never fails. Why? Why? WHY? We have all sorts of comfy spots for them to sit, but they can't resist sitting on a piece of paper. In fact, one of them will knock any small bit of paper off the coffee table just so that she can sit on it.

One of the mysteries of cats, I guess. The other one is why does a cat sit and stare unblinkingly at a wall when there is NOTHING on it?

Your error is in thinking that the paper is actually ....paper. It's not, it's a 'cat locator'. Cats use them to know where to sit or lie down. :)

My Lucy stares at walls. She also stares intently at the dishwasher when it runs. She will also demand that I open the shower door so she can stare at the water when I get the shower started and I'm waiting for the water to warm up. She's a quirky girl.
