My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1016491/posts?page=77#77 Weenies hate Heroes
Just what the hell you thinking,
Your head is up your butt.
This punishment youre seeking,
Makes you, look like nut.
He didnt harm a single soul,
He only saved some lives.
A few more soldiers, wholl go home,
And grow old with their wives.
How can you drag him through the dirt,
While sitting in your chair?
I for one am glad that he,
Not you, was over there
Our soldiers fight our nations wars,
And this man is the best.
Stop your persecution of,
Lieutenant Colonel West

This is war afterall, so he skeered the little terrorist into opening his trap. I think from what I have read so far that this is very unjust.

A good politician is quite as unthinkable as an
honest burglar. --H. L. Mencken
Well, I think President Bush is "A good politician," certainly a good man.
To: bentfeather
No mortal is perfect. GWB has a good heart. You can see the sincerity in his eyes. When I saw the video of him being notified on 9/11 of the planes. I told everyone "that man is going to do what needs to be done if we'll just let him." It was his face that made me say that.
No smirky "I feel your pain" BS from him.

There was so much pain in his face that day.
I agree with you, it was in his eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul.
To: bentfeather
Yep. I'm a face reader and an empath (I control it my empathy). It's hard to fool me in writing and impossible to fool me face to face, even if you're on video.
Many of my friends ask me to give them opinions on; people they want to date(I'm serious), politicians, sales people, etc. They listen to me carefully.
GWB is a poker player but not a brick wall. He shares his feelings openly without laying all the cards face up. He is very smart and honest. I like smart more than intellectual.

Walk With Me
Walk with me, the path of life,
to explore every bend of the road
Enjoy with me the beauty of life,
along its wonderful way
Find comfort with me, in each other's arms,
when grief crosses our path
Find strength with me, in each other's strength,
when despair lies in wait
Laugh with me, a single true laugh,
to enlighten another's distress
Cry with me, a single true tear,
to understand true happiness
Cherish with me, the wonders of life,
as they need to be preserved
Rejoice with me, in the mysteries,
of what is yet to be
Find peace with me, in each other's souls,
when the world has gone insane
Find love with me, in each other's hearts,
until this life has been fulfilled
And when the path comes to an end
I hope we can say from within
We've known the beauty of true love,
our love came from within

Evanescence - Whisper
catch me as i fall.
say you're here and it's all over now.
speaking to the atmosphere.
no one's here and i fall into myself.
this truth drives me
into madness.
i know i can stop the pain
if i will it all away.
[chorus]
don't turn away.
(don't give in to the pain)
don't try to hide.
(though they're screaming your name)
don't close your eyes.
(god knows what lies behind them)
don't turn out the light.
(never sleep never die)
i'm frightened by what i see.
but somehow i know
that there's much more to come.
immobilized by my fear
and soon to be
blinded by tears.
i can stop the pain
if i will it all away.
[chorus]
fallen angels at my feet.
whispered voices at my ear.
death before my eyes.
lying next to me i fear.
she beckons me.
shall i give in?
upon my end shall i begin?
forsaking all i've fallen for
i rise to meet the end.
[chorus]

Reaction to the poem Dark???
This could be material for a poem...

It could also be a one line stand alone.

eerie and haunting
To: bentfeather
And, also, a small bit of inspiration from your quote and a bit of a drawing I did (self-portrait of just my eyes) for a sign.
Sign says "Haunted Eye Studios" with a set of eyes, mine, appearing between the first two words and the last one.

Yes, I guess so....I would like to see it in a poem..
You can write some stanzas for it and I will write some,
okay?? Got time??
To: bentfeather
There's at least three seperate versions of that song.
*chuckle*
Evanescence - Give Unto Me
I've been watching you from a distance
The distance sees through your disguise
All I want from you is your hurting
I want to heal you
I want to save you from the dark
Give unto me your troubles
I'll endure your suffering
Place onto me your burden
I'll drink your deadly poison
Why should I care if they hurt you
Somehow it matters more to me
Than if I were hurting myself
Save you (save you)
I'll save you
Give unto me your troubles
I'll endure your suffering
Place onto me your burden
I'll drink your deadly poison
Fear not the flame of my love's candle
Let it be the sun in your world of darkness
Give unto me all that frightens you
I'll have your nightmares for you
If you sleep soundly
Give unto me your troubles
I'll endure your suffering
Place onto me your burden
I'll drink your deadly poison
Fear not the flame of my love's candle
Let it be the sun in your world of darkness
Give unto me all that frightens you
I'll have your nightmares for you
If you sleep soundly
Fear not the flame of my love's candle
Let it be the sun in your world of darkness

Haunted eyes are broken windows with tattered curtains of the soul blowing in the wispy breezes of the fires of eternity...
tattered curtains
wispy breezes of the fires
of eternity...leap high
in midnight sky
from broken castles
of olden time
and gargoyles creep
round in shadow deep
ready to pounce
on headless horses
ride the wind
ghost rides night
black knights horror
clanging tower bells
hunched old men
dressed in burlap
leather thongs
black X on the cape
dark riders weep
See what you can do with that..
To: bentfeather
Haunted eyes are broken windows with tattered curtains of the soul blowing in the wispy breezes of the fires of eternity...
Staring empty from a balcony on the cobwebbed tower beyond the chasm
Surveying the arctic realm from a solitude fortress inside their heart
Solitary heir to the stone throne in shadowmere, tomorrow's home, yesterday's grave
Riding high on the wings of eventide without the warmth of the sunlit sky
Always hungering for the briefest touch to warm the tattered soul behind the haunted eyes..

I dunno, I'll get these 'flashes of prescience' with extreme clarity of thought... and write one line liek that.
Then as suddenly as it appeared it leaves.
And I'm left looking at one line and going, "Ummm.. where'd this come from?"

Yes, that does happen at times for me, often I do not write them down. But what really puts my wig in a snit is to write an entire poem in my head and then not be able to transfer it to paper. Oh this one really gets to me.
