I saw that game. Truly amazing that you were able to get the field cleared in time for the game. The company I work for has a lot of branches out east, and we do snow removal, among other things. We were all too happy to let those guys improve our bottom line.

Of course, here in Indy I may just have to build an ark after the last few days.....

Make sure that ark has sled runners on it! Everything is going to freeze tomorrow and stay that way for quite some time to come as arctic air is moving rapidly down from Canada. Even the Indianapolis area will be in the deep freeze for a while. Here in New England, we may not see temperatures above freezing again for three weeks. This means, for us, lots of ice skating and hockey on all the lakes around here.

We'll be ok on temps until tomorrow night - maybe 27 or so by afternoon.

But the next three days are DEEP FREEZE TIME, with lows from 7-11 degrees all three nights.

I'm ok with it, actually - in fact I relish it. All these warm ups have kept the turf from going fully dormant, and we've been applying dormant fertilizer. So some of our client's turf has been green and growing, all the way through Christmas.

Plus, I have a brand ne Boss V-plow that I'll get to drive, should we get any plowable amounts. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet.

:-(

I'm glad the TEN goes to NE, too. TEN can win that one, and if the Colts win, it all comes back to the RCA dome for a third TEN-IND war... as well as a rematch of the only other Indianapolis playoff game... as well as a match-up of the now MVPs (McNair had 1 TD and 3 INT's this weekend, and Peyton had 5-0, and a perfect rating... hmmm...)

I think the Colts can win at KC, but that is one tough place to play. I don't think KC is as good as their record indicates (they split their set with the Broncos, they only played 4 teams with winning records, and had 7 wins of 7 pts or less against those weak opponents)

If Mike Doss gets back on the field and keeps the Colt defense's intensity up, they have a good chance. You can't expect Peyton to be perfect again, but their offense can match KC's score for score. I say it's 38-35, with the last team to touch the ball taking the victory.

It was even better when they all threw snow in the air during Gary Glitter's song after scoring!

I'm a Pats fan too. Pats need to jump on 'em early next week and just let the weather take care of the rest. So long, Titans.

As far as the Indy Colts go, I can't express how much I despise this team. I guess there are three major things wrong with them that really bother me.

-They play indoors. Watching it on TV, they may as well be at a civic center in an undisclosed location. This gives no sense of Indianapolis. The blimp can't even be bothered.

-When the cameras scan the crowd, I see a bunch of very drunk people in short-sleeves in the bright, unforgiving lights of that indoor arena. There is nothing endearing about that scene. Now, in Foxboro, we see hardy souls in the stands throwing snow and you can see their breath. That makes for better TV.

-Peyton Manning has no star quality. Yeah, he's a good QB, but the guy seems to lack something.

If they were still in Baltimore I'd like them better.
