Yes, very true. Hooray for Pat Tillman. There are many other NFL players who served (or are still serving) in the military or the Reserves/National Guard. I did a thread about this topic a year or two ago for the FR Canteen.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. He didn't come close to grabbing the receiver's arm, let alone affect his ability to catch the ball.

For the new illegal immigrant that have never watched a football game before those two CBS color commentators introduced them to football for idiots 101.

watch the replay. He did.

My Pats won, so it's not at all boring to me. Now I must wait and see if we face Kansas City or Indy.

"Well, there is at least one NFL player who is also a hero."
There are those who serve now that once wore the NFL uniform.

No way!

Seen the replay multiple times, NO INTERFERENCE. Don't spoil this with sour grapes, both teams played well but NE pulled it out in the end.

Correct, as I mentioned in post #421. Perhaps you remember the football season kickoff thread I did for the Canteen a year or so ago on this topic. I was surprised there were so many NFL players with military service - especially those that were serving in the Reserve or Guard.

I did watch the replay. I thought the same way you did at first. Then I saw a better look, and there is NO WAY that that was interference.

Kansas City

I picked Indy to win.

I don't like the titans so I am glad the patsies won. Just too bad the officials won't call things evenly. Nuff said about that, much more football to watch tomorrow.

Well I do like the Titans and I'm sad that they lost and I think the refs did a great job on the game because there is no possible way it's defensive interference when:
the receiver initiates the contact
the defender falls down because of the contact
the receiver gets to take two steps AFTER the contact
the receiver jumps in the air AFTER the contact
the receiver gets both hand up to meet the ball AFTER the contact
the receiver touches the ball with both hands AFTER the contact
If it's interference on anybody it's on the receiver not the corner. Not interference and the officials called things very evenly, not one blown call in the game.

I didn't see anything wrong with the officials' calls and it wasn't even close interference in the end, but anyway, I can't make you agree.
You're right, lots more football tomorrow.

The question now is will it be colder or warmer next weekend in Foxboro.

Another way you can tell it wasn't interference is that the receiver didn't jump up and start begging for the call. If there's even the slightest chance of an interference call NFL receivers will be right in the face of the officials, he wasn't. None of the post game commentators have raised a question on the call, none of the coaches or players in the post game interviews, just you.

There are those who serve now that once wore the NFL uniform. Oooops, I misread your post. My previous reply referenced NFL players with prior active military service or ongoing service in the Reserve or Guard. But you are correct that there are many in military uniform besides Pat Tillman who used to be in the NFL.

Who is going to complain about it? It was within the final 2 minutes. When the game is over, everyone lets it go. But the film can't be denied.

I've seen the film. It wasn't interference. At all. Not even close. There's a lot more in discostu's posts than "no one said anything".
