I just got a Maxtor 120Gb USB 2.0 external drive at Newegg for $149 after the $30 rebate. I popped in a new USB 2.0 PCI card to get the high transfer rates of USB 2.0.

I'm using it as backup storage for my two networked PCs.

I wonder if this terabyte drive is one drive with 10 platters or just how it is put together.

I was wondering that myself. Could it possibly be some sort of mini-RAID setup to make one large logical device?

Looks like it is not quite available yet, shows B/O.

They have a finance program , can get it for $29 month, not bad.

Looks like they are targeting the Apple users.
