Indians don’t look “white” as we define them in the west, though your point is well taken. In other words, Kingsley’s father has darker skin than the average englishman or “caucasian”.

Well, actually that definition is limited to the USA. In the UK the definition differs. And while many Indians are not "white" as defined in the US, they are caucasian by race. Kingsley's father was a Gujarati -- from the Western State which is where gandhi was from -- so they're a light brown. Anyway, Merry Christmas! Wesołych Świąt!
