Making love on Mars and Venus
in the morning
a lovely irony...

I need making war
and who could tell
the difference
between love and war...

My powder is always dry
this is one battle I will not lose

Yesterday was a day like any other on the calendar.

[Soaring Feather]

Heaped in White Dust

Monarchs shimmering 

in afternoon shadows

Hummingbirds and quiet black-eyed susans

laced in sleep

tinkling one heart

stealing my love

our desire heaped in white dust

Shall we tour the planets,
you and I?
brushing the mists as around
and about we fly?

From the abyss of The Void
we speed, toward the home
and hearth, and every loving deed.

First at Pluto
and sister Charon,
dark and cold
like the absence of love.

Ghostly Neptune passes by,
Sea-king's namesake.
Uranus, the Sky-King,
wanders alone.

Lorldy Saturn, next,
golden belt about
his baronial girth.

And the Jovian Giant,
His retinue dances with us,
bountiful and plenty.

And now, we dance again,
the children of the lost brother
spinning slowly
in the night.

You spoke of Mars?
Behold the Warbringer,
red with wrath
or passion, you think?
Spear and shield
shaken and shiver.

Now a vastness we pass by
you think it's amiss?
then cast your eye

on Venus, the Lovebringer
shrouded in cloud
like the robe you cover
your lovliness in.

And farther yet,
warmer still than love
spins messenger Mercury,
blazing in his flight.

Faster and heated
now wings our flight
as the Sun's awesome power
drives back the night.

Winging 'round the star
flames beneath our pinions
we soar back to the dark,
but eyes looking toward the Gem.

Yes, that jewel in the void,
blue, green, and white,
She of many names,
Gaia, Arda, Terra Firma,
Ours, and Love's first home.

get on the rocket for a night time ride

With you by my side through the
galaxies we glide... zooming through
the asteroid side
a bit bumpy is the ride

Wow, here we come Jupiter,
zip there goes Mars
The Jovian Jewels
in their splendor
move us to gaze
in wide eyed awe
at the wondrous things we saw

We heard the hum as the planets
spun in elliptical orbits wobbling
to and fro and the beauty
that we see in the nebula
yes, it's free, just the two of us
you and me in splendor
at heavens gates
in our Chariots of Fire...

god's tiny creation brings
