The more people were told they couldn't see it, the more they wanted to see it.

The film became a world-class blockbuster b/c it is a masterpiece .......this, despite the fact that secular liberal Hollywarped types did everything in their power to demonize it.

Interest was stimulated when ADL Abe sent out the Thought Police to say the film was anti-Semitic. Shock troops like NYT's Dowd said it was crass; Hitchens said it was homo-erotic; NYT's Friedman said it was (gag) facistic; Rooney bashed it on CBS, and SNL on NBC.

Too bad nothing worked.
