Interesting. So many young women have lost what my grandmother saw as "worldly wisdom".

I must make 1 comment rite now before I forget after reading the whole thing.
It's related to the '60s, and most important is that the "equality" thing seems to be more related to "free love" (actually, open lust) than anything else. So in a sense (if males are always the beastly sexual 1s), women have dropped down to men's level, rather than insisting on men being on the higher plane of women, for equality.
Of course, w/o any experience but hearing it from elders, I think in reality as a result of all this sexualization that men as well as women have become more sexually promiscuous and generally disrespectful (whether they know it or not). In many ways it seems there is more open "chauvanism" these days. Maybe I'm wrong, it's hard to describe, but that's my perception. Certainly people are more base and crass than a while ago.

What's weird is, if you ask me, they AREN'T as provocative as they were a decade or four ago - no matter how much skin they are showing these days.
I remember a guy in school, when Bo Derek was hot off of "10" saying that she looked hotter with her clothes on than off. He was right. There's something to be said for leaving something to the imagination.
These gals nowadays with their pudgy belly-rolls hanging out from under their half-shirts make me giggle. They look like dumb kids no matter how old they may be.
Give me ANY of the styles from the 40's or 50's. They not only enhanced what a girl had, they also gave them class.

I could swear I read this article about two weeks ago... excellent analysis of the situation, though.

People don't know their "roles" anymore. Men should be men, and women should be women. No wonder many kids these days are not responsible with their sex drives, or the children they are producing. They don't know what their roles are in the whole picture of life...

Interesting article...and so true, too.
