Thanks for your kindness. They haven't gotten to me. In fact they remind me of a local preacher who hosts appeasenik meetings in his church's basement. He's worried that my presence during their meetings (support the tropps signs, flags, etc.) might reflect badly on his church, but hosting a group that calls Dubya a terrorist and has talks on why all the other Christians "love the Bomb"...not so much a problem. And he also says he supports the troops. Sure, that's why my support the troops sign worries him, because he agrees with it so much.

I'll keep making fun of America's enemies, foreign and domestic, until I'm pushin' up daisies.

I just can't imagine a family who had a son or daughter KIA having anything to do with these idiots.

It's a very small percentage, we've had 560 KIA and if there were 56 KIA families that have come out against the war, I'd be quite surprised. Let's also consider that often some members of a family who are estranged from the KIA person feel fine using it; one of the guys who went on that family tour to check out conditions in Iraq hadn't seen his Marine son in years, IIRC.

You've got to love those DUmmies. One of them actually asked in that thread: "How can any group of people think it's funny to ridicule the suffering of others? I don't get it." This from a group that openly gloated over Rush's addiction, and made jokes about Barbara Olson's murder on 9/11. They're soooo quick to brand conservatives with a scarlet "H" for Hypocrite, but they can't even smell their own stink.
