sKerry's employment numbers do not add up!
Posted on 03/29/2004 7:44:55 PM PST by martinidon
sKerry's new economic plan calls for the creation of 10 million new jobs. According to the U.S. Dept. of Labor Statistics dated March 5, 2004 the unemployment rate is 5.6% or 8.2 million people. So here is my question; is it possible to have 0% of the population unemployed? Also; where are we going to find the people to fill the other 1.8 million jobs sKerry has created? (Mexico)

I guess Kerry is counting on many "guest" workers.

I would not consider those new jobs; however, it does not matter how you count them 10 million new jobs would put the unemployment rate much lower than 5.6%. In my opinion, I do not think the country can sustain an unemployment rate much lower than it is. There is a large number of people unemployed that do not want to work, will not work, or do not plan to go back to work.

Stay-at-home moms probably aren't in the unemployment statistics. If taxes increase enough, more of us will be forced into the workplace to make ends meet. Maybe that's the calculation.

Natural growth of the labor force over 10 years is expected to be 7 million. If the number of jobs were to increase by 10 milion, the unemployment rate out be around 3.4%.

Union Government Jobs...anywhere from janitor to a bureaucrat in the Bureau of Indian Affairs looking over those pesky savages.

After Kerry gets done with his tax increases, increased gov regulation and pushing the Kyoto Treaty through Congress, we will lose 20 million jobs, not gain 10 million jobs.

John Fraud Kerry has been a Senator for 19 years.
Why hasn't he helped American workers find 10 million jobs until now?

I think you are being grossly unfair to Mr Kerry. All he's doing is applying the usual dem fudge factor to his figures. Next thing will be you expecting them to stick to the truth. Even if they can't spell it.
