Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...That none have seen but we alone.

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

There are some hairstyles that just can't handle a hat.

Ah, yeah, I don't think that's why the Presby ladies stopped. But I like hats. I watch movies just for the hats. Like "My Fair Lady". Or "The Mummy".

No, wait, I watch that one for the cute guys. Never mind.

"We're watching the teenage Lord Vader act all spoiled and moody right now. Big'ol just commented that Lord of the Rings has pretty much killed all enthusiasm we had for the recent Star Wars movies."

The first two movies are still magic to me, but LotR did upstage even them. The actor who played teenage Vader is too whiny for me. I do like some stuff about the new movies, though--the light saber fights alone are worth the movie to me. Plus I'm kinda obligated to like the movies because my brother works for Lucasfilm and helps run the official Star Wars website (Star Wars). Wish someone would kill Jar-jar, though. . .

"Now for PE, Fedora and maybe even ksen to show up...(I don't smell the other dwarf)"

Are you implying that I'm a sneak? :) I'm shocked I tell you, shocked!--I would never take advantage of half the Hobbit Hole being gone while Preciouses are just lying around for the taking. . .

Yay! I got my hairs cut all nice and short. Shorter, anyway...just a little shorter than chin length. I like it that way, especially now it's getting hot!

Also got in 30 minutes on the treadmill tonight. As I was getting off, I suddenly noticed I'm starting to get noticeable muscles in my thighs. Still under a lot...but they're there.

Of course, to get the full visual, you have to imagine a somewhat pudgy chick in nylon shorts hopping up and down in front of a mirror (it's a half length mirror and starts at waist height) waving one leg up and down.

After a very few seconds I suddenly realized how stooopid I looked. ;-) Glad I didn't do sumpin like that in, say, a gym locker room!

ROFL! Maybe the Bride could wear Gandalf's hat? :)

They're doing just great. Tired out from the day, but otherwise OK. They're taking off here in a few minutes to head back home. Then more festivities tomorrow!

You're allowed to look silly when it's for exercise!

I missed my cardio yesterday because of choir. I did do my lifting tonight. I'm getting better at it!

Howdy!

So... what'd we miss? Any dramas? I saw something about hats.

I guess WN has left? Where'd she go? Off to someplace from which to catch a plane tomorrow?
