Escape from Massachusetts

My first post, I saw a thread regarding Reagans funeral from a worker bee in Boston. The poor soul was stuck with listening to a-holes deride Reagan. I got some advice for that person, get the hell out of Mass!!!I escaped 3 years ago and I tell you it was the best thing I ever did. Boston is a great city, but full of idiot, stuck up, liberals who cannot see beyond their own nose. Housing is completely out of control, taxes going up, commute sucks, State is controlled by the f-ing Democrats. I moved to CT, which isn't a whole lot better, but at least you can afford to live here, good commute, good schools. I miss aspects of Boston...but I'll take a 30 minute commute and a nice house over a 1.5-2 hr commute and a $300,000 starter house any day. Oh, and my wife gets to stay home with the kids now!!!!

I escaped Dec 2002. My family and closest friends remian, but for the first time I can now afford to buy a real house with a garage, a yard, and everything. No more snow, no more -5 January days, no more Kerry and Kennedy Kiss-fests, no more Bawny Fwank bwavewy stories, no more Republican Party that is left leaning as Dukakis, no more midnight pay raises, or explanations that they raised their salary so they won't have to take as many bribes. No more Big Dig, no more major traffic jams 3 of 5 days a week. But, sadly, no more Sundays at the Patriots game.

I'm going up for a vacation in 2 weeks to visit family, but I will not miss my flight home... that's for damn sure.

Let's see. You traded Kennedy/Kerry for Dood/Liberalman in the Senate. You have Rosa De Ugylaro and the RINO's Johnson and Shays. You might as well have moved to Maryland!! ROFL

I traded Kennedy/Kerry (Dems) for Allen/Warner (Reps) in the Senate, J Randy Forbes for my Rep instead of Marty Meehan. I'm in Virginia. What were you thinking?

sorry about that. That reply should have gone to Pondman in the thread. HE moved to Connecticut. Your trade was much better. I've been thinking about moving across the Pot-O-Mack myself.

Yeah, after I posted it I noticed your correction. I meant to say "Oh,never mind", but something came up and I never got back to the keyboard. You can always try NH or Maine, but I gotta admit, the weather here is better in winter, and the political sensabilities are vastly superior.

Lieberman is light years better than K/K from MA and Dodd, still a Democrat though, it is amusing seeing Joe constantly attacked as a centrist by the left, says alot about the Democratic Party. If I moved for politics I'd be in NH......
